Bio:
Born 1957 in Detroit, Michigan. I attended Wayne State University and received a BFA in printmaking and painting. After a number of years of exhibiting throughout the Midwest I got married and after a few years we had children which delayed my art career for almost 15 years. Now that my children are older, I have dedicated more time to my passion and for the last 6 years have exhibited throughout the country and in Europe. I am honored to be included in some of the finest collection of art and Galleries throughout the county.
Artist Statement: Early in the 1990s I had the opportunity to meet the well known egg tempera painter Robert Vickrey. His detailed renderings in egg tempera had a huge influence on me and made me return to painting. For a number of years, I experimented in egg tempera and really enjoyed the science of the art. Then, about 6 years ago, I rediscovered oil and have not looked backed.

My subject matter focuses on nostalgia. I enjoy the object of a simple tool, salt shaker or something simple as a fruit in a bowl. It is about the simplicity of the object and its arrangement of color. I guess my real passion comes from the kitchen. It is the childhood memories of a typical American breakfast or dinner, going to an old diner with my Dad or helping my little Italian Grandmother in the kitchen. These are the memories that are in my thoughts when I paint, regardless of whether it’s a vintage car, rusted tools, old toasters, diners or food packaging art. It seems that if its old and nostalgic, in the kitchen or tool shed, it will more than likely be put on canvas.
