Bio:
Leslie was raised in New Mexico and since 1991 has made Oklahoma her home. She studied with Ted Seth Jacobs at his school Ecole Albert DeFois in Central France. Since then she combines her explorative and impressionistic style of current works with the training of classical realism, allowing her to draw on the artistic voice within. Her work reflects the quiet beauty and simplicity of selected oil paintings and soft pastel landscape and still life compositions.
Leslie has received numerous awards, which include, Honorable Mention, Laguna Beach Museum of Art, Laguna Beach, CA; First Place for pastels, Austin Alliance Art Festival, Austin, TX 2007; First Place for pastels, Crested Butte Art Festival, Crested Butte, CO 2007 and First Place for pastels, Mayfest International, Tulsa, OK 2008. Leslie’s work is in both private and public collections.
Her work has been exhibited in a solo exhibit at the Governor’s Gallery at the Oklahoma Capitol, Oklahoma City, OK. Her work was chosen for the American Art in Miniature Show at the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, OK in 2008 and 2009.
Leslie is on the faculty and staff as the Enrollment Director at the Fine Arts Institute of Edmond, OK. She teaches drawing in the classical tradition to both children and adults.

Artist Statement
"The aim of my work is to reflect the quiet beauty and simplicity of the portrait, the landscape and the still life. I want to give my audience the opportunity to see that which is often overlooked. I want my work to evoke emotion and the realization that beauty lies in a moment and in a single object or place. To look intently at that thing or place will cause us to see things we might not have seen before."
