Bio:
After receiving his BFA from the University of Saskatchewan (Canada) in 2003, with high honors and a distinguished exhibition, Christopher began a prolific and dedicated studio practice. His work is in private and corporate collections throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. He works from his in-home studio in Canada.
Artists Statement:
My work is about quiet, simple compositions using familiar objects and some traditional still life subject. I highlight the basic shapes and forms of the subject, set against neutral tones and emphasize the light that falls across the compositions. This brings the subjects to an almost iconic status, making the ordinary a little more extraordinary. My inspiration and painting technique is drawn from different eras of painting.
